Wendy represented DFAS Limestone at the 2011 American Society of Military Comptrollers (ASMC) Personal Development Institute (PDI), where she facilitated communication between DFAS Leadership and high-ranking officials, including the Honorable Robert F. Hale, Secretary of Defense Comptroller, on budgeting and fiscal matters related to Audit Readiness.  

 

Additionally, Wendy coordinated Accounting 101 training sessions aimed at enhancing professional development within the organization, leveraging expertise from the Chief of Accounting Operations at AFDW - Pentagon. Her contributions extend beyond internal initiatives, as she has authored articles for the DFAS Business Journal and LIM Moose Tracks, sharing insights and best practices in accounting and financial management. 

 

Active engagement in committees focusing on diversity and inclusion, such as the Special Emphasis Program (SEP), underscores Wendy's commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive organizational culture. She holds certifications including a Green Belt Certification from the Department of Defense reflecting her dedication to ongoing professional development and skill enhancement.

 

Wendy's professional journey also encompasses noteworthy business highlights. She successfully managed the opening of a nightclub in Providence, RI, overseeing legal documentation, licensing, permits, financial planning, inventory control management, and implementing regular forensic auditing for theft control. Furthermore, she ventured into the cannabis industry, establishing dispensaries and other related ventures, including co-ownership of a mobile DJ service, contributing to a diverse portfolio of business experience.  

 

Currently, Wendy is focused on developing an operational plan for a music management business, aiming to offer comprehensive artist management, legal and financial services, content creation, and marketing solutions across various capacities. Her entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to innovation continue to drive her forward as she navigates new opportunities and ventures in the ever-evolving business landscape.
